Rugby, Netball, Futsal, Touch Football & Cricket
Western Sports Trainers Association (WSTA) will be at your venue to attend to your sports first aid needs. They will be equipped with first aid supplies to address new conditions occurring during the event. Participants should provide their own supplies for pre-existing or ongoing conditions.
All other sports
All Sports Convenors will have access to a first aid kit, and will be able to put you in touch with a qualified first aider.

Emergencies
In the event of a medical emergency, an Ambulance should be called immediately on ‘000’.
Physiotherapy, Massage, Doctors
Participants will need to access local clinics for these services. Please see the contacts listed below and in the Games Handbook for more information.
Strapping Tapes/Support Garments
Participants are expected to supply their own strapping tapes and supports.
Crutches
Available from most local chemists.
Ice
Loose ice or icepacks will generally be available at your sports venue for new injuries, check with your Sports Convenor or first aider.
If you have an existing injury or need for ice, please bring an icepack clearly marked with your name as most venues have a freezer you can store these in for re-use.
January in Geelong consists of dry heat, with temperatures ranging from 10-45 degrees C.
Participants are expected to supply their own sunscreen and fluids.

Failed to receive a tick? Speak to your doctor about alternative medications or not using them before/during Games time. If this doesn’t help see www.asdmac.gov.au/athletes/index.html Be prepared and apply for a TUE (exemption for medical use), which can take 2-3 weeks, or if you have run out of time a retroactive TUE can be applied for if you did happen to be tested during the ADG by contacting ASDMAC on 13 000 272 32.
