Volunteer information

Volunteers are a very important part of the Australian Deaf Games. Without you, it would not be possible to have a great Games! We need volunteers in a number of key areas across our Sporting, Cultural, Social and Children’s Programmes.

What we will offer:

• Each shift will have a minimum of 5 - 7 hours and a maximum of 5 shifts for the duration of the Games

• The opportunity to learn new skills and meet people

• A uniform to be worn when you are on shift

• A volunteer kit

• An opportunity to have a great time

• An invitation to a thank you party at the end of the Games 

• Get a Certificate of Appreciation

• Free entry to any event in your off-duty time 

What we want from you:

• Be available for pre-Games training

• Be willing to work most days

• Have good people skills

• Have a good sense of humour

• Be flexible and open-minded 

• Be able to use or learn basic Auslan to communicate

• Be a good team player
